July 3 2007 (1.25pm): Following an alert by colleagues that the original PRC web content had been changed to include an acknowledgement of the fact that Teacher Librarians had contributed to the success of the PRC, an email was sent to the NSW Premier, Morris Iemma, asking if he was aware that his "quote" had been retrospectively corrected.

July 4, 2007 (sent 6.17pm; reply sent 9.05pm): Email received from Officer of the Department of Education and Training, regarding "misrepresentation of the PRC and the Premier, transmitted through the abovemented listserv.
Note that the pdf of the email (accessible below) shows the original formatting as received, complete with 'redded' text and 'boxed' extracts of other emails.
This writer notes, amongst other issues, that quoting from a government website cannot possibly be 'misrepresentation'; also the privacy and Australian Telecommunication Law violations are also referenced.
The response by this writer was sent to both the relevant Officer of the Department AND the NSW Premier. It concluded with:
"If I may make a suggestion for PRC 2008? On the registration page, would it not be possible to added a 'selection' tool to indicate the contact person's status; for example, Classroom Teacher, Teacher Librarian, Parent, other ... By utilising such a simple device, the true contribution of all Teacher Librarians could be much more accurately gauged.".
